Tennessee, or Eastern, Red Cedar is a tree with ancient American origins. It was written about by explorers in Roanoke Island in 1564, who described it as “the tallest and reddest cedar in the world”. It has been used since then in everything from pencils to furniture. Its lumber is commonly referred to as Aromatic Cedar due to its unique fragrance when untreated. As a Growler Girdle, this wood has stunning red and purple highlights.
