Breweries, Vineyards & More

If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world - J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit

Welcome to our list of recommended Breweries, Vineyards, Bars and more.  Wondering what to do with a Growler Girdle, a Grunt or a Wine Garter?  Fill 'em up!  We feature locations from Montana and around America.  These are great places to find craft beers, exquisite wines, limited liqueurs and sodas and a lot more.

Enjoy!

This unique brewery is in Spokane, Washington, and is named after an iconic local statue - of a goat.  We love the atmosphere of their establishment, but our favorite parts are the rotating taps that include ciders.  Iron Goat always has something new, and we enjoy their seasonal specials.  Be sure to visit them when you're in the area!

Ennis, Montana is a small town famous for fishing and its proximity to Yellowstone National Park, but to us it's best known as the home of Willie's Distillery!  Using local ingredients, they make several amazing moonshines, bourbons and more.  They have seasonal liqueurs throughout the year, including a wonderful Huckleberry Sweet Cream Liqueur. Try their online store!

This wonderful vineyard is located in Pullman, Washington.  They began in 2004, and their growing selection of wine continues to impress us.  They have the best rosé we've ever tasted!  They have a beautiful outdoor patio at their tasting room, and weekly events during the summer.  Be sure to check them out!

Oldest pub in Ireland - do we need to say anything else? Their customer service is wonderful, the Guinness is perfect and the atmosphere is truly unique.  There's live music, daily historical tours and the town of Athlone is worthy of exploration. Dia duit!

This family-friendly brewery and restaurant is in Lolo, Montana, just a few miles south of Missoula.  They have a large selection of craft beers and ciders, as well as a an excellent food menu.  In our opinion, they have the best fries in Montana!

This microbrewery is in Missoula, Montana and has a unique atmosphere, inspired by the region's history of wildfires and smokejumpers.  They brew limited amounts of amazing beers and seasonal specialty beverages, including craft sodas.  Our favorite brew was a Belgian wheat, infused with orange peel and vanilla bean.

Brewing beer is a craft that developed in European monasteries over several centuries.  The tradition continues in America with this certified Trappist brewery located in Spencer, Massachusetts.  We are big fans of their Trappist Ale, and visiting their monastery during their annual open house is on our wish-list!

Located in Missoula, Montana, this brewery is a regional favorite.  Their most well-known brew is Cold Smoke, which is available in stores across the state.  They have two taprooms in Missoula with a great variety of brews to sample. They also host community events, and have an amphitheater for outdoor concerts!

Founded in Watford City, North Dakota, with a new branch in Bismarck, this is our newest discovery.  Less than two years old, this family-founded brewery has some very unique flavors.  Our favorite is a seasonal Peanut Butter Porter - think melted Reese's with Guinness!

Located in Helena, Montana, this fun brewery offers live music, room for dancing and charity nights.  Our current favorite brews from here are Scottish Backcountry and a Hefeweizen named Miner's Gold.  Lewis & Clark Brewery also wins points for sustainability, using mainly local ingredients and sending their spent grains to local farms.
